Ready2Robot Review

The kids are all going crazy for surprise toy opening at the moment and Mr C is no different! He was chuffed to ribbons when we were sent some Ready2Robot goodies to unbox, test and try out on the blog. We also did a little Youtube video of Mr C opening some of the packs if you fancy a watch!
Kids can build, swap and battle with Ready 2 Robot. Build your robot, unleash your pilot from his slime pod and get ready for an epic robot battle. Kids will love collecting and battling these slimy warriors. At Smyths Toys, you can find Ready 2 Robot blind packs, battle packs and blasters to power up your battles. Collect them all to build the ultimate Ready 2 Robot showdown!
The battle pack rrp £19.99 comes with a fully assembled robot, rocket launcher and a mystery robot that you get to unpack and build. The egg has several layers inside and little pieces of the root wrapped in plastic to open, so the mystery is prolonged in each layer, which the kids love.
The pieces are split between 3 layers inside the pod and there is also a collectors guife for you to tick off your robots as you get them. Mr C loved this, he likes to know what he's got and what he still needs to get!
Right in the top of the pod is a chamber full of slime, you have to pop this out. This is a bit tricky and I had to help Mr C with this bit. He loved digging into the slime to get the little pilot out that sits in the top of the robot body.
The fully assembled robot that comes in the battle pack is fab, lovely bright colours and ready for immediate battle. The rocket launcher is a fab touch and it actually works (see our Youtube video link above).
The series 1 individual pods are priced at £9.99 and contain a full robot for you to unpack and build. What I liked about these collectables is you can actually play with them afterwards. They don't just get unboxed and discharged. Mr C had lots of fun mixing and matching all the parts and making all kinds of robots and making them battle each other. I have to agree with him that they are pretty fab. If you're looking to buy head over to Smyths now as they are currently on sale with a few £'s off the cost, ideal Christmas presents for your avid collector or surprise fan!
