Pickin Chickens Review and Giveaway

We love Drumond Park games and we have been trying out the newest one of the range Pickin Chickens, this game is suitable for ages 4+ and for between 2-4 player. The game retails at £19.99 and available from the Drumond Park website.
Inside the box, you get the pasture compete with the tree stump and the hidden Mr fox, chicken cops that you have to attach to the play board and 16 chickens, 4 of each colour. The aim of the game is to get 1 of each coloured chicken for your game card.
Children take it in turns to spin the chickens’ ‘pasture’, and when it stops each child picks a chicken coop to look under, and depending on the colour of the chicken revealed, takes a model chicken of the same colour and puts it on one of the ‘chicken’ spaces on their card. But beware, Mr Fox pops up randomly from his tree-trunk lair like a jack-in-the-box – and gives everyone a shock! When he appears, each player instantly loses one of his or her chickens – unless they hold the Farmer card, which protects them from the fox! Game play continues until someone collects four model chickens – and is declared the winner.
Mr C found this game really easy to follow and he really enjoyed hunting for his coloured chickens. He found some of the coops a little tricky to get off, but there was a knack to it and he managed it in the end. He loved it when he had the farmer card, so he could protect his chickens! Although at the same time he willed Mr Fox to jump up as each turn! It's such a lovely game for your preschooler to play and it's great for understanding turn taking.
