Le Petit Ballon Review & Giveaway

I love a nice glass of wine, but I really don't know where to start when it comes to picking a nice bottle. This means I usually stick to the old faithful bottle of Rose from the Supermarket. Le Petit Ballon does all the legwork for you by offering hand-picked wine selections from one of the highest-rated sommeliers in the world.
You have a choice of the apprentice box which is £24.90 per month, with this option you can discover unknown vineyards and great value wines, thanks to Jean Michel. You also have the master box which is £39.90 per month, which lets you discover prestigious labels for connoisseurs, a selection chosen by Jean-Michel Deluc.
We received a box to try out and they were delivered in a secure box and contained information leaflets about the wine. The first wine we received was a bottle of Natana 2013 from the Marianne Wine Estate, described as a wine for a treat, occasion or even a surprise. Jean-Michel Deluc asked the owner to create a red wine from the best vineyard plots, he was presented with 2 and the natana was the best. It was chosen for its finesse, freshness, fruitiness and sweetness. Its mainly composed of Syrah, Merlot and hint of both Pinotage and Cabernet Sauvignon. The second wine in our box was the Cinq Terroirs 2014 from Complaces de Loire, perfect for an aperitif or served with lunch. This is a wine that is always worth having in your fridge. It will always be delicious, fruity and light with a tangy, citric and very fresh aroma. Its a smooth mid-palate of honey and lemon with a lovely smooth texture. I think Le Petit Ballon is the perfect way to expand your wine knowledge and I have the chance now to help you expand yours!
