#BackToSchool With F&F at Tesco

Next up in our Back To School feature is some fab uniform items from F& F at Tesco. I have 4 children all in school uniforms so cost is a big factor for us. I have shopped with F&F range before but never really used the uniform range before. I was sent a selection of items for each of the children from the range to try out, I am interested to see how the price and quality measure up.
The first item is a pinafore for Miss S and is priced at £6 and is easy care so can be popped into the tumble dryer. The pinafore has a lovely fitted look and the material feels really sturdy. It also has nice pleats all around and a zip that pulls down to the waist. It is a really nice length to and sits below Miss S's knee by about a inch and a half, and she is tall for her age. The pinafore is Teflon treated to it repels dirt and stains which is a bonus for me as Miss S gets really mucky at school.
The next item is the super soft pure cotton cardigan which is priced at £5 and is available in 6 different colours. You notice the softness of the cotton as soon as you touch it, the ribbed hem and cuffs are super stretchy. I love the scalloped detail on the collar to, I think the fit is true to size also, Miss S is a tall 7 year old and this age 8-9 cardigan is a great fit.
I love the 3 pack of supersoft tights for Miss S, the really do feel supersoft! They are priced at £11.50 for a pack of 3 which is less than £4 per pair. They say they are super strength so I am hoping they will last her through the winter.
The boys jumpers are slightly different but as soon as I took them out of the delivery parcel I was noticed how super soft they are, the jumpers are both 100% cotton and feel so much more expensive than the are. The v neck jumper for Mr D has a thick knitted ribbed band round the bottom is great for preventing shirt tails popping out, its nice and fitted but has a nice stretch to it so it won't lose shape. It also has As New Technology, this means it wont fade and has anti bobble technolgy. Infact all F&F school knitwear has the As New Technology. Priced at £4 its a great feeling jumper and its a really nice fit on Mr D. The sweatshirt sent for Mr C is a rounded neck and priced at just £3, is again is a really nice fit at aged 4-5 and is suitable for the washing machine and tumble dryer.
The 2 packs of polo shirts start from just £2.50 (dependant on size), available from aged 3 right up to aged 16, in a choice of 8 colours which is the most colour choice I have ever seen in polo shirts. My children go to different schools which means I have to buy a few different colours and needless to say F&F have all the colours I need. The polo shirts are machine washable and more importantly tumble dryer safe (a must have for the winter months when you can't pop them on the line) They are 100% cotton and you can feel how soft they are, the collars are also ribbed for extra comfort. For Mr L who is about to start secondary school I was sent a 2 pack of F&F short sleeve shirts. A 2 pack retails at £8 in age 15-16, he is a big boy Mr L with very broad shoulders. These shirts are a great fit and like the polo shirts suitable for the washer and dryer.
The boys school trousers are £5 a pair, in grey or black and are available from aged 3 to aged 16. The trousers are Teflon coated which means they repel water, oil and stains. When you wash them the fabric releases ground in stains, they are hard wearing and suitable for tumble drying. They have an adjustable waist so they are perfect for children who like Mr C need the length but not necessarily the waist. The secured hem offers extra protection from fallen hemlines and the trouser close with a button and a zip. I found the trousers (we got ages 4-5 and 9-10) were true to size for the boys age, Mr D's will need taking up a little but he isn't as tall as Mr C is. They also have reinforced knees!! This makes me especially happy as its the knees that always go first in Mr D's trousers, he is forever skidding in them.
The final item was also for Mr L, 2 pairs of PE shorts priced at £5 for the 2. They have an elasticated waist and the same As New Technology as the rest of the F&F uniform range.
I am really pleased with the overall fit and feel of the uniforms and think they children look really smart in them. Only time will tell how long they will last, but the extra details F&F put into them, such as the As New Technology gives you piece of mind that its money well spent.
The uniform range is available instore right now, why shop around when you can get all you need from ages 3 right the way upto age 16. There is also coats, shoes, stationery and school bags in the range.
*I was sent the above samples FOC for the purpose of review.
  1. You can't go wrong at that price and the children look so smart x
