ChewyMoon Snack Boxes

Snacking is an essential part of mist children's diets, it helps tide them over in between meal times. However, the right type of snack is a must to ensure a healthy and balanced diet. My gang love to snack, but they are more partial to an unhealthy snack. So I am always looking for healthy alternatives for them, that's where ChewyMoon come in.
ChewyMoon offers a snack subscription box, they are 100% natural healthy snack for kids.Available in petite 5 snack boxes or grande 10 snack boxes delivered every fortnight. You can customise your box based on whether your kids like sweet or savoury snacks, or opt for a mixture.
Aswell as the snacks you get some fab bits to keep the kids entetiained, there is a sticker book, each ChewyMoon snack pack has a collectable sticker in the back for your child to add to the book. There is a fab fact sheet this time it was about the ocean. There are also 4 cards that you can play a game with, so lots of fun. I loved the information leaflet which had lots of nutritional details in for us adults.
I loved the bright colourful designs of the snack boxes, it makes them appealing and fun to the kids. We also loved the variety boxes, the mixture of sweet and savoury snacks is great, the cherry cola was Mr C's favourite, whereas the safari snack breadstick style was Mr D's favourite. They are all individually sealed, this makes them ideal for packed lunches and picnics too. I threw a few in my bag when we went to the safari park today. The trays they come in hold the snack perfectly, which makes eating them easy. We made an unboxing video for our Youtube channel, which shows the contents of the boxes in more detail, so hop over and watch it. 14 Years......

14 Years since you were dragged into the world (stubborn from day 1)
14 Years since you made me a Mum
14 Years since you made us a family
14 Years of learning
14 Years or growing
14 Years of learning it ok not to be ok
14 Years of learning not everyone is the same
14 Years of seeing the world through your eyes
14 Years of learning about autism
14 Years of fighting to get everything you need
14 Years of being your biggest supporter
14 Years of no sleep (still team no sleep!)
14 Years of driving me mental
14 Years, it has been a steep learning curve
14 Years I wouldn't change a moment
14 Years I wouldn't change a single inch of you
14 Years I have loved every moment
14 Years I would do it ALL again

It's hard to believe that its 14 years since you made your impact on our world, a chunky 8lb 10oz bundle with black hair. You've never slept, still don't for more than a few hours. Its been a long road, we've had some bumps along the way. When you were 3 we got your autism diagnosis. We didn't know what an impact that would make on ours and your life. We vowed to ALWAYS ensure we fought for what was right for you. We were told at 5 mainstream wasn't right for you, we disagreed and fought to keep you there. We succeeded and were proved right. You showed me that as a parent always trust your instinct. You taught me to not let others opinions dampen your day. They don't know the truth they see a fleeting moment in our lives. With the help of 2 amazing teaching assistants, to whom I will always be eternally grateful you smashed primary school. I don't think they will ever realise the difference they made to your school days. The helped me nuture you and are partly responsible for the intelligent caring boy you are today. I know they miss you still as much as you miss them.

I am dumbfounded that you are now in Year 9, doing GCSE, for a boy who at age 4 they said had the comprehension and understanding of a 2-year-old, you are still smashing down all the walls others try to put up in front of you. You NEVER let anyone tell you that you cant, you always try your best. Now you're not perfect, we've had our issues, and I know we have obstacles to come. But being a teenager is tough. You have a quick temper, you react in anger, but you always know when you are in the wrong, you always apologise. So you see the boy who they said had no understanding or feelings, consequences, his own actions, they were wrong. I always knew they were, you're a complex boy, you cant be worked out in 1 assessment. You have so many layers and it takes time to get through them.

You have big plans for your future and know that we will always support your decisions. We will continue to ensure that you are treated failry. You made me the Mum I am today, you will never know how much you taught me and continue to teach me. Wishing you a Happy 14th Birthday, may the next 14 years be just as epic as the last.
Lots Of Love

Valentines Day Gift Guide

Its Valentines day real soon and I have a selection of gifts suitable for the loved ones in our life this year. We tend to stick to a budget and go for just a token gift and a card, some prefer to splash out, but with 4 kids we are definitely more budget! Are you a splurger or a budget buyer, either way, there are some great gift ideas here in this guide for you.
Now, most people love some chocolates and Guylian are definitely my favourite chocolates. The Belgian Chocolate Sea Shells are Guylian’s star product. The hazelnut praliné filling is still produced according to the unique recipe in the age-old traditional manner, a heritage of the company’s founding father Guy. The secret method of roasting and caramelizing hazelnuts gives Guylian chocolates their signature taste.
Its Valentines day, so a cheeky kiss of definitely on the cards. You want our lips to be kissably soft right? The cold, blustery Winter months bring with them the threat of dry, chapped and sore lips, and for some even worse, cold sores. Whether you are a cold sore sufferer or prone to sore, cracked lips, the Prevasore gel formula helps to create a hydrating barrier on the lips to increase moisture and to aid healing.
How about some 100% natural massage oils for him and her? Mother Nature has created many plant based aphrodisiacs to stimulate the mood for love, and Indigo Herbs specialise in a range of natural herbal aphrodisiacs including our proprietary aphrodisiac massage oils. Erotic Spice for Men This massage oil blend is a pokey mix of Ylang-ylang, Bergamot, Cinnamon and Black pepper. Together these aphrodisiac oils are sensually stimulating, with an aroma that intends to stir passion, increase libido and enhance pleasure. Intimate Bliss for Woman This massage oil blend is a flirty mix of Ylang-ylang, Bergamot, Sweet Fennel and Aphrodite's own plant Myrtle. Together these aphrodisiac oils are deeply relaxing, sensually uplifting with an aroma that intends to stir desire and promote blissful release
If you have a partner that loves a bit of a pamper then how about a gorgeous pamper hamper from 7th Heaven. They have recently launched LOADS of beauty hampers, topped up with fantastic treats for your skin, hair and body. These beauty hampers won’t break the bank and are guaranteed to leave you feeling pampered and beautiful from head to toe. This basket full of goodies is only £9.99 and contains face masks, hair masks, bath bombs and a body scrubber!
The Baylis & Harding range is always a winner no matter what the occasion, but the Rose Prosecco Fizz range is perfect for Valentines Day. I love the vintage truck tin, it would be a fab keepsake, the bottom pops out, so great for reusing. I also love the pink fluffy socks, they are super soft and cosy. The best thing about Baylis & Harding is that you can find a set no matter what your budget!
If you are planning on proposing this Valentines then how about saying it with Itty Bittys? These bride and groom are great and could even make an appearance at the wedding! Alternatively, the Superman and Wonder Woman are great for showing your other half they are out of this world.
Now Find Me A Gifts famous ‘Likes’ Poster can be tailored to summarise you as a couple, or a couple you know. It’s sleek, trendy and well put together – just like the couple in question. Tell them the names of a truly fantastic pair, and 10 ‘likes’ for each of them. They’ll then set their designers the task of turning your information into this stylish poster. You can choose from 10 different colour schemes, and if you would like your print framed, there are 5 frame colours available. What's more the A4 frames can be engraved with a message too! The perfect personalised gift this Valentines!

Christmas With Raising The Rainbows

I won't lie the word Christmas strikes a cord of dread right through our hearts. The children have always hated it, lack of routine, people coming and going, no real meal times, presents and just the whole unpredictability of it.
There are some rules to follow for Christmas with Raising the Rainbows
1) The tree MUST go up December 1st
2) Aside from getting their advents chocolate, no talk of Christmas is allowed
3) Absolutely no Christmas music is to be played ever
4) Christmas is a 3-day celebration, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day
5) The Christmas tree must come down on Boxing day evening
6) December 27th the word Christmas is banned again until next year, it's done and its over, deal with it!
So we started at the top of the list as we always do! The tree went up and the chocolates were out, this normally stresses the kids out, but this year they seemed rather excited by it all. They were asking questions, wanted to know plans, who was coming when etc. To be honest, by December 15th I was a little tired of hearing about Christmas. They were so swept up in it and it was great to see, if a little draining, I thought it may wear off and they would hate it again. But their excitement was still going strong on Christmas Eve. Getting them to sleep on Christmas Eve was not fun, 4 hyped up kids full of treats from their Christmas Eve box means no one was asleep before 10pm. I escaped to the neighbours and got a little drunk! This means Santa was in a bit of a state come present time, which meant some of the presents ended up in the wrong pile! ooppss!!
We had a traditional Christmas lunch, which is another sticking point as the kids are all so picky about their food. But do you know what they all sat down and are it no fuss at all? We spent the rest of the day chilling out and enjoying the kid presents. It was honestly a super relaxing experience and it's made me hopeful that this is the shape of things to come. We had all the family around on Boxing day, this would normally make the kids twitchy, but they all enjoyed themselves. We still stuck to our tradition of taking all the decorations on Boxing day and getting back into a normal routine. I think Miss S was slightly disappointed at the lack of Christmas tree, but she thought the longer it was up the more likely she would be to get more presents! Not happening kid!! I am really pleased with the turning point that occurred for Christmas and hope it is the shape of things to come, roll on this Christmas!

Weekly Weigh In - 16/1/18

Its that time of the week again where I tell you about my weight loss and if you saw last weeks post, you will see that I lost a fab 3lb in last weeks weigh in. I had high hopes for this week and intended to do a full week of shakes for breakfast and lunch, plus a normal dinner.I started off in the fashion I wanted to go but slid off further into the week. I decided not to stress about it as that's not what I am doing this year. The team at vaxxen labs could help boost your weight loss with one of their fab produts. This year is all about positivity and not being too harsh on myself. The easier I make this and the less stress I put on myself the easier it will be.

All in all, it was an on and off week, the weekend was a bit carb loaded, to say the least, and the scales showed this yesterday when I weighed in! If I am honest I was expecting a gain or maintain this week so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw that I had actually lost this week!
The plan for this week is to carry on with the downward trend. I've now lost 4lbs in just two weeks and I am really happy with that. A steady 2lb loss is just over half a stone a month. Slow and steady wins the race as the saying goes. I still have some shakes left to have and I have my 1 week of the Slimfast Vitality plan to complete also. I think after that I will use a combination of calorie counting and tracking. I will also be going on regular walks with the dog.
See You Next Week
