Braun BGK7050 Body Grooming Kit

The Braun BGK 7050 body grooming kit allows you to epilate, trim and shave all with one tool. The unique combination of all three features provides all-round body grooming. Code-Grip tweezer technology removes hairs as short as 0.5mm from the root, whilst the shaver head provides an effortlessly smooth shave. It has a powerful rechargeable li-ion battery, which charges in 1 hour for a 40-minute cordless shave. It can be used wet or dry and comes with several different heads for multi uses. It has a pivoting head which combined with the code-grip technology means it gets even the shortest hairs. You have the option of 2 speeds which are selected by the dial on the front of the unit. Check out the video below for a demo of the unit on our Youtube channel.

It's a great piece of kit and as I said in the video its perfect for men and woman, so no need for 2 laying around the bathroom anymore. The multi heads and the choice to shave or epilate keeps everyone happy. Myself and Dave have given this a good test and we both love it. I love the large epilator attachment for shaving my legs and it leaves my skin silky smooth. Dave has tried the shaving attachment and it gives a good result for a quick dry shave.
I have one of these great units worth £129 to give away to 1 lucky reader. For your chance to win just enter via the widget below, please read the terms and conditions before entering.

Easter Fun With Aldi

This Easter Aldi has a fab range of items in the store to keep your little ones busy. I for one am always looking for stuff to keep the kids busy during their two week holiday. Our holiday started on Friday so this box of tricks that arrived over the weekend is going to be a great distraction and keep them busy on the run up to Easter. The range is in store this week and prices start from just 59p, get them whilst stocks last.
This little Easter activity pack is great, it comes with 2 fun activities included. The poster is used for the first game and the pack comes wth 4 game cards. the children have to count how many things they can see and write it on their game cards. It also has a fun game of pin the tail on the rabbit inside!
It wouldn't be Easter without a bit of easter bonnet making, would it? This kit comes with everything you need to make a stunning Easter bonnet. You can add bees, carrots, and brightly coloured Easter eggs to your bonnet.
How cute are these metal buckets? I love how bright and colourful they are and they are going to be great for my little ones to use for our Easter egg hunt. Afterwards, I am going to use them as plant pots in my garden as I just love the colours.
Whether you are looking for additions to your bonnets, making cards or even doing some Easter baking you will definitely need some of these. The little packs of chicks and rabbits are a great addition to your crafting box this Easter.
Here is another bonnet making kit, but this time made out of paper, it looks really simple to do and I am sure Cody is going to love making this with me.
There is a range of jigsaw books and each book contains 5 jigsaw puzzles for your little one to do. The books also tell the story of the nursery rhyme on the front cover, these would make fab gifts for any younger family members this Easter.
It wouldn't be a half term without some colouring in! It's an all round family favourite in our house and something everyone can enjoy. These giant colouring pads are fab, I will admit I was rather excited when I saw the owl one and I may have hidden that away for myself to doodle on!

How To Create A Cosy Living Room Retreat

When it comes to home decorating, the living room is often the most difficult room to get right. As the main room of the house, it needs to act as a playroom to the kids as well as a place where you can entertain guests.

Just as important, though, it needs to be a place where you can put your feet up and get a little bit of time to breathe and relax after the kids have gone to bed.

Here are some great ideas to make your living room a refuge that can still withstand the hustle and bustle of day-to-day family life.

Colour
Your choice of colour can make a real difference to the feel of the room. Earthy tones like dark reds and browns create a warm atmosphere, and are very forgiving when it comes to little mishaps from mucky fingers.
Use colour consistently within the room so that soft furnishings match the walls and carpets. You can always add a flash of contrast with throws, blankets and cushions, and of course, the beauty of these is that they are washable. It also means you can have a choice of soft furnishing accessories to match your mood and the season

Lighting
Mood lighting is great for creating ambience. Use lamps, spotlights or simple dimmers to create your very own mood. When the kids are finally asleep, there's nothing like turning down the lights and curling up on the sofa for a blissful end to the day.

Shut the world out
It's great to feel that you are tucked away in your own little world at the end of a busy day. Shutting the curtains is one way to do it, but a great alternative can be to fit DIY window shutters. These add a real sense of rustic charm to your home, are hard wearing and are far less hassle to keep clean than curtains, too!
They are also very easy to fit, and can act as an additional layer of insulation in the winter months.

Cushions, cushions and more cushions
Did I mention cushions? You really can't have too many, and the fact that they come in all shapes and sizes means you can create any kind of look. Covers are washable and inexpensive, giving you even more options. They are also super-comfortable.

How about a fireplace?
Log burners are hugely fashionable again, and it is not difficult to see why. Nothing says “cosy” quite like curling up in front of a roaring fire. Not necessarily the perfect thing when the kids are charging around, but modern burners are so quick to get going that the whole routine of lighting it after the children have gone to bed can help create that distinction between family time and adult time for a relaxing evening.

Relax and enjoy!
It might be the hub of a busy family house, but with a little thought and imagination, the living room can still be your own personal retreat!
