Bogs Footwear Rain Boot Review

Now the weather is getting very autumnal its was time to dig out the rain boots and waterproofs for the damp school runs that are going to be heading our way. The children have grown significantly since last autumn and winter so were in need of some new rain boots. Fortunately for us Bogs has sent the 3 younger children a brand new pair of rain boots to try out.
Bogs footwear have been around since 2002 with the mission to provide the ultimate comfort experience to allow you to stay outside for longer. My tribe love the outdoors so any way to keep them out there longer gets a thumbs up from us.
The 2 boys were sent a pair of Durham Stripe rain boots each and Miss S was sent a pair of North Hampton Pomponrain boots, all 3 pairs of boots retail at £47 per pair. Now I must admit this is about twice as much as I would pay for rain boots. However, on taking them out of the box and looking the over they are more than worth their price tag.

I love how rugged and sturdy the boots look, the tread in the sole it's impressive and so thick. The bottom half of the boot is made from durable hand-lasted rubber, it stretched over the inner bootie to give a comfortable but snug fit, The top half of the boot is 7mm constructed waterproof Neo-TGech insulation. I love the pull on handle either side of the boot, they are perfect for your little ones to be able to pull the boot on themselves.
The rain boots are of course 100% waterproof, they are comfort rated to -30 and the DuraFresh biotechnology means they actively fight bad odours, so more stinky boots in the hallway!! The outsole of the boot is nonmarking and self cleaning, so no more scrubbing your boots clean either. I liked the sound of all these things the boots were promised, so all that was left was to see what the kids thought.
All 3 of the children love the design on their boots, they have had so many compliments on they colours and designs. The Durham stripes are really lovely black or blue striped, the top of the boot is so soft and this is what Mr D first commented on. I love the purple floral design on Miss S North Hampton Pompon boot. She was even able to pull them on herself, she has poor motor skills so shoes are difficult for her anyway but the handle is a definite help for her. All of the children's rain boots are 10 inches high, so they fall below the knee, the perfect height for being able to splash in muddy puddles and not get your pants wet. This pleases Mr C so much, he is out ultimate muddy puddle jumper and he is delighted he is free to do it as much as he likes.
I cannot recommend the Bogs rain boots enough for your puddle jumping, rain loving little ones, they are well worth the £47 investement. They will last for years to come and if you fancy it you can get in on the Bogs action to as they sell them in adult sizes! Now bring on the rain!
