Hi there, welcome back to #Blogtober16 and day 5, the brief for today is what career did you have planned as a child? If you fancy a read here is Day 4, which was share a secret about yourself :)
My earliest memory of being in school and being asked what we wanted to be when we grew up, I always answered that I wanted to be a teacher. As I got older my mind changed slightly and I really wanted to be an air hostess. When I got to high school I really wasn't sure what I wanted to do at all. I left school and did a business administration GNVQ, paired with a modern apprenticeship, so I was working 4 days a week and at college 1 to gain my qualification. If was from this that I kind of fell into retail management. Before Mr L was born and for a period of time after I was the manager of a few big retail chains including Claires Accessories, The Sunglass Hut and The Works bookstore. I have pretty much been a stay at home Mum since the children came along, but last month I finally went back to my original plan, kind of!
Now the children are finally all settled in school I actually have some time for myself and decided to sign up for my level 2 teaching assistant course! I'm really enjoying it so far and will be qualified and able to seek work by the summer.
