#Win a copy of The Children's Garden by Matthew Appleby

Now we are coming to the end of February I have started to think about Spring and what I am going to do in the garden. I want to get the children more involved in the garden this year and The Children's Garden book is packed with lots of thinks to make and grow in your garden.
A garden can be a place for discovery, creativity and fun, and a space that encourages children to enjoy and engage with the natural world. Through 52 exciting family projects, this book will inspire parents and their children to play and learn in the garden, with activities including nature trails, cooking, crafting and growing plants and vegetables. Ex-primary teacher Matthew Appleby (author of The Allotment Planner) has tapped into his first-hand experience of parenting and teaching to devise these seasonal projects for every week of the year. The Children’s Garden is the perfect companion for families looking to discover the magic and adventure their gardens have to offer.
Projects include: Plant a scented handbag, All- you- can- eat basket, Homemade seed bombs, Turf tattoos, Keeping chickens, Sand play and art, Snacks for superheroes, Foraging fun, In search of forest finds, Ugly veg and Craft a Dalek compost bin.
MATTHEW APPLEBY is a garden writer with more than a decade’s experience. He edits
Horticulture Week and Garden Retail magazines and contributes regularly to The Guardian, Amateur Gardening and other national newspapers and magazines on gardening. He is the father of a son and a daughter. A share of the proceeds from sales of this book will support the charity Greenfingers. Greenfingers is a national charity dedicated to supporting the children who use hospices around the UK, along with their families, by creating inspiring gardens for them to relax in and enjoy.
