Orchards Toys Review

The children are big fans of Orchard Toys, Mr C and Miss S were very lucky and received an item each from the range to try out over the school holidays.
Orchard Toys started off on a kitchen table over 40 years ago, and they are recognised now as a leading manufacturer of educational games and puzzles around the world, we still design, produce and pack all our products from a small market town in Norfolk. Apart from some of the Sales team, all the staff work together in the same building. Orchard Toys are designed with the ethos ‘Learning Made Fun’, and they combine bright, innovative design, durability and quality.
The Giant Railway Puzzleis a 22 piece interchangeable railway-themed jigsaw which is compatible with the Orchard Toys Giant Road System, it's suitable for ages 3 and up. Your child can build lots of different track shapes with the pieces and the set comes with character pieces for some imaginative play opportunities. This puzzle is priced at £13.95.
Like all Orchard toys it's made from quality 100% recycled materials and really sturdy. I love how sturdy the pieces are, they don't bend easily and can withstand a bit of man handling from my rough 4-year-old! The pieces are the perfect size for his 4 year old hands and easy to pick up, the smooth surface makes them easy to slide around to fit into place.
Mr C really enjoyed this puzzle, he spent hours trying to make all different shaped tracks, he found the pieces really easy to slot together. What even better is that while he was busy playing he was helping to improve his imaginative play, encouraging his observational skills and developing his hand-eye coordination. One of the huge benefits of Orchard toys is how educational they all are and the children don't even know it.
The Woodland Party Puzzle is a  70 piece colourful jigsaw, depicting an enchanted woodland with lots of familiar characters and magical animal friends. It's suitable for ages 4-7 years, so the pieces are slightly smaller. This puzzle retails at £9.75
The pieces are really colourful and when built the puzzle paints a really pretty picture. Included on the box for this puzzle is a talk about guide which encourages discussion and imaginative play based around the puzzle. This is perfect for Miss S, she has autism so imaginative play is something she struggles with. Miss S seemed to really like this puzzle, she spent a good 10 minutes playing with it, this is a bit of a record for her. She doesn't have much of an attention span. I finished building the puzzle for her and she spent a long time looking at all the pictures.

As always the Orchard puzzle have been a big hit with my little ones, they always are and make a great addition to any toy cupboard. Make sure you pop on over to the Orchard Toys Website and have a look at the other puzzle available.
Thanks For Reading
