Scruffs Classic Thermo Parka

As a blogger many review items pass through my house, most of them for myself or the children. So when I was offered the chance to review for Scruffs Hardwear my hubby was super happy, he gets a little tired of all the parcels arriving containing nothing for him! Now the wintry weather is firmly hear, he was in need of a good padded coat to keep him warm. I was offered a choice of a few coats from Scruffs to choose from and I opted for this Classic Thermo Parka that retails at £79.99. It outs a bog tick on the list of the things the hubby needs. I also need to get him some new gym gear, but have spied lots available on onlysportsgear.com.
The jacket is made from a hard wearing fabric that has a water proof rating of 4500mm, which thanks to this awful weather Dave has been able to fully test! It has a padded bubble quilted lining, which is great for keeping you extra warm in the cold. There is lots of pockets on the coat, perfect for a Dad on the school run like Dave, the children are always passing him their 'stuff' to hold. There are 2 pockets on either side by the bottom of the coat, 2 large pockets on the chest of the coat, a handy zip pocket in the arm which is the perfect size for a mobile phone and 2 large inside pockets. The rain has been tipping it down whilst we have been trying the coat out and everything in Dave's pockets, including his mobile phone stayed nice and dry.
The collar sits really high on this jacket, so it really keeps the warmth in and the cold out, the hood also has handy drawstrings, so you can pull it right in. My hubby is about 6ft 4in and the jacket sits just below his trouser pocket, so keeps his top half nice and dry. The jacket has a relaxed fit, so its nice and comfortable fit, Dave says he can move freely in it and can move his arms comfortably. The jacket fastens up with a zip, and buttons, so there is no way anything is getting inside this jacket when its fastened up. It has lots of lovely little detailing in it, the orange stitching running up the zip, leather tags attached to the zip ends, scruffs label on the pocket and the hood can be completely removed. The coats colour description is dark lead, it does look all black in the pictures about, but it has a green tinge to it, with black panelling.
If you are on the look out for a stylish, well made, weather proof  jacket you cant go far wrong with this Thermo Park, you are definitely getting your £80 worth, its quality made and Dave is chuffed to bits with his!
