Christmas Gift Guide For Babies

Its that time of year again, I can't believe it's came around so quickly this year. I have been a busy bee this past few months searching and gathering all the best items you need to have this Christmas. Rather than have an endless guide, this year I have broken it down into sections. It can be a bit of a nightmare finding gifts for the babies in your life. I have sourced some perfect gifts from some fab brands for you to consider in your basket this year.
Caboodle are an online based business, ran by the lovely Mel, she started making blankets and cushions as gifts for friends. All items to your in specification and there is a choice of fabrics ready to choose from. They offer bibs, cushions, clothing, bibs, baby wear and these lovely snack mats. All my children where very messy when it came to eating, even if it was only a snack. These snack mats are perfect for snacking on the go and they fold up really small and fit in your changing bag. The mats are completely machine washable and can even go in the tumble dryer for convenience. I love this bright monkey print, its really fun and looks fab. Its really good well stitched and great quality for the price. Pop on over to the Caboodle Facebook Page and have a look at the wonderful designs, if there isn't something you like they are happy to do a custom order for you.
I first discovered chillipeeps last year when my friend pulled one out of her handbag and popped it on the end of a box of formula milk. I was amazed and a little sad that I hadn't discovered them when my children were small. Chillipeeps are a portable teat or spout in sealed case that make feeding on the go easy if you formula feed. All 4 of my children were formula fed and there were lots of times I was caught out and didn't have a clean bottle handy. With chillipeeps you just pull the bottom cap off and either pierce the carton or screw of the spike and screw onto a bottle top. This means any formal carton or bottle of water can be transformed into a baby friendly drinking vessel in seconds! You can buy individually for £6.50 with a teat or a spout. Perfect for your baby's stocking this year, you can also find Chillipeeps on Facebook.
I have a beautiful new Niece this Christmas and she is only going to be 8 weeks old at Christmas, so gifts will be lot to her. This beautiful stocking is the perfect gift for little Betty, it's made from beautiful fabric and hand stitched to perfection. You have the choice of heart or star and the stocking can be personalised with any name you like. It's a real good size and perfect for all her first Christmas bits she is bound to get. The range at Izabela Peters extends beyond stockings, they offer teepees, pencil cases, bags and some beautiful pieces for the home. You can see some of the fab range on their Facebook and Twitter accounts.
Little Shrimp is a range created by Donna Barron in 2002 and started on her kitchen table! All Little Shrimp items are made from the softest eco friendly Oeko-tex cotton, which washes and wears beautiful. The range includes hats, dribble cloths, all in ones and comforters. I have been sent 3 of the stunning products to include in this baby gift guide. The Rocket Dribble Cloths priced at £8 are a lovely twin set and include a lovely great star print and blue striped print, both measure 45cm x 45 cm and a great size. The Baby Bear dribble pack are perfect for your gender neutral bump, one in white with silver stars and the others cream with pastel green spots. The Rocket Baby Hat priced at £10 comes in it's own little storage tin makes the perfect gift. The hat matches the lovely rocket dribble cloths and would make a beautiful gift.
The 4 piece toddler set from Oxo is perfect for your little one who is mastering the art of self weaning. It contains a plate, bowl and cutlery set. The plate is fab with a high rigged side, perfect for learning to keep food on the plate, once they have mastered this is ridge is removable. The deep bowl comes with a non slip bottom, so will stay still on the table/high chair and it has a handy lid. I love the cutlery and Miss S still uses hers, they have a high arch, which makes comfy holding and have a rubberised grip.
The Ocean Explorers range from Little Tikes is perfect for your little ones from 9 months of age. They help develop their fine motor skills, cause and effect, balance and coordination. The catch me crabbie retails at £14.99 is perfect for getting your little ones moving. It has a built in motion sensor, so as your little one gets close to crabbie it moves away! Its a lovely bright eye catching colour, his claws clap and it plays some lovely music. The Stand N Dance Starfish retails at £29.99 and perfect for any little ones who are trying to stand. The light up keyboard encourage your child to make music, they can use their hands or whilst standing their feet. It comes with 4 balls that can be push down the spiral slide, its lots of fun. There is lots more in the Ocean Explorers range, just check out the Little Tikes Website.
The Disney Baby range from Tomy is so cute, my children all had Disney items when they were little and they still love Disney today. The Listen and Discover Pooh is suitable for babies over 10 months, and the little hide and seek book can be used attached to the pram or car seat. When attached to pooh the book comes to life, Pooh speaks and has over 30 phrases. He also plays some lovely lullabies so he is the prefect companion for the bedtime routine. How cute is a little story and lullaby especially off Winnie The Pooh, he is just one of the many in the Disney baby range, head over to the Tomy Website to check out the rest of the Tomy range.
I love to read stories to my children before bed and these lovely little handheld puppets are perfect. Just the right size for little hands, they add an extra edge to story time. They come in a lovely gift box and it has a brief version of the story on the back of the box. Its a perfect addition to your little ones stocking this week, this is just one of a large story tales range available at Wilko.

Do you have other suggestions for the babies in your life, leave me a comment with your must have baby items this year.
