Pet Parade Playset

Now I know I shouldn't say it but Christmas is fast approaching and its time we all started getting our act together and sorting the gifts! I have the majority of the children sorted but am always open to trying out something new. We have been sent a lovely Pet Parade Playset and puppy pack for review, with pet parade you can experience the thrill and excitement of taking care and training your own puppy. We frequently have Grandads dog Kacie round and the children love her, so I thought they would love this set.
The play set retails at around £30, is suitable for ages 3+  and comes with a puppy included so you can play straight away. The set is a vivid pink and made from durable moulded plastic, there is very minimal construction required. This pleases me as there is nothing worse than trying to build a toy with a child climbing on you asking if your done yet. Another bonus is that the toy need absolutely no batteries.
The play set has everything your puppy may need, there's an exercise round about, a swing, a bed, feeding station and even a ramp to practice their walk on! The puppy in the set comes with its own lead and bone. There are a selection of puppy's available to buy separately so you can even try to match it to your own breed of dog.
The puppy has a little magnet on the back of her neck and this is what the lead attaches to, when attached to the lead the puppy walks just like a real dog! You can also make her head nod up and down. There is also a round circle on her back, this can be used to make her head move also when not using the lead. Its a nice interactive little puppy, the bone is also magnetic so when her head bends down to get it the bone sticks to her mouth.
The children loved play set and thought the fact you could make the puppy walk on its lead was great. They also enjoyed making run up and down the ramp as fast as they could. Its a lovely interactive playset, hope you enjoy the video of the children playing with it below and their thoughts.

Thanks For Reading

Ugglys Pet Store

My boys are very typical and love anything gross, we have previously reviews items from the Uggly's range and they still love them now! So the where very excited to find out their was a new Uggly's item on its way for review.
The Ugglys Pet Store priced at £12.99 is a stackable Pet Shop that you can build up a stinky stack of gross homes to create the uggliest pet store in town. Each gross home comes with its own stenchy sound and exclusive pet to display.
You are provided with just 2 stackable parts, from the package it looks like 4 but 2 are just cardboard boxes for display purposes. Only 1 of the stackable boxes makes the gross noises, the one the monkey goes into. The other box is purely so the roof is able to go on top.
From a parents perspective I think £12.99 is a lot for box that makes noises and a monkey figure, you can buy additional boxes for £6.99, but I do think it looks misleading from the images as you think you are getting 4 boxes. On a positive parents note it comes with batteries included and its made from good quality moulded plastic.
Obviously none of this bothered my boys and they absolutely loved it! They loved putting the crazy monkey in his box and hearing the gross noises. We even had a little bit of conflict between Mr D and Mr C who both wanted to play with it. I solved the problem by getting out the Ugglys bus we have in the toy box and they happily played together. There are over 101 Ugglys to collect and my boys are keen to expand their collection.

Slimming World Week 4 Weigh In

Last week was my birthday week and I was determined I wasn't going to let it affect my plan! All my meals managed to stay on plan, which is great and my FitBit kept me motivated to move more and the week went really well. Even on my actual birthday I behaved and suck to plan, not even a crumb of cake snuck past my lips.

I hit Friday and a wall so it seemed, my meals all on plan but the snacking in-between, so not part of the plan! On Sunday I was at my SIL Baby Shower and the food was so not Slimming World friendly, I already knew the damage was done for Mondays weigh in and synned my little socks off!!

I headed to group yesterday fully expecting a gain and a gain is exactly what I got, luckily it was only a 1lb gain, so I count myself very lucky after the pigging out!

The plan for this week is to keep all meals on plan, keep syns to a minimum and move lots more. My goal this week exercise wise is to get my 10'000 steps every single day. I have even got into the habit in the evening when watching Tv of getting up and walking the adverts. They are roughly 2-3 minutes long and I speed walk up and down the living room for the length of the adverts!

Last Weeks Goal - 2lb
Weight Loss This Week - A gain of 1lb
Total Weight Loss - 9 and half lb
This Weeks Goal - 2 lb, but would love 4.5lb to get my stone off

Perfect Frozen Craft

This school holidays has been a bit of a wash out, the weather has been awful, I honestly can't remember a holiday that has been so bad. We have spent lots of time indoors baking, watching movie and doing arts and crafts. I have been sent 3 lovely Frozen craft items for review.
This Disney Frozen Fairy Lights priced at £12.99 is the perfect thing for when you need to fill half an hour on a rainy day. Even better is that the finished result is actually usable and its battery operated so can be used anywhere.
The set come with a choice of different garlands to fold and attach to the lights, there is a choice of different shapes and characters. You also get a sheet of stickers and a felt tip pen so you can be as creative as you want to be.
The Fun Tiles Frozen Jewellery Box priced at £12.99 is another winner as once you create is it has a functional use, Miss S is going to be using it to keep her hair bands and clips in. Its a craft project that would take a little longer and could be done over a couple of days.
The set comes with a fully assembled jewellery box and 700 self adhesive gem and glitter stickers, there is a guide on the side of the box which list the gems. On the undecorated jewellery box there are numbered spaces, these correspond to numbered gems. You just stick the corresponding gems, Miss S found it a bit fiddly, I loved it though it was very calming!
The Frozen Shaker Maker, £9.99 is great fun and I have done lots of them over the years and the children love them. They are always really careful with them as they are always proud of what they have made and created.
The set comes with Anna and Elsa mould and enough plaster mix to do both. The paint isn't a great selection of colours but you can mix them to get the colour you like. It only takes 90 minutes for the plaster to set, so its a great craft to do first thing and it will be ready to paint after lunchtime.

July Degustabox

If you haven't heard of Degustabox its a monthly subscription box priced at £12.99 that delivers 9-14 surprise products, many of the products are new to the market so you get to try them first.
This months box contained 12 items from 9 different manufacturers, some I am familiar with and some I am not familiar with. The content of the box have a reatail value of over £20 so its well worth the cost of the box.
The Weetabix On The Go drinks priced at £1.49 are perfect for breakfast on the go in the mornings. They are made with fresh milk and contain all the protein and fibre of the Weetabix cereals. I am not a big fan of breakfast drinks but this one tasted more like a milkshake.
Another perfect breakfast on the go item in this months box are Fru Snax priced at £1.25 per bag. They are prices of dried fruit covered in yogurt and are only 50 calories per packet, they are great for throwing in your bag for a quick snack.
I am a big Lambrini fan, I have probably been drinking it well before I was legally allowed. This Lambrini So Strawberry retails at £3.29 is a great summer drink. Its bursting with flavour and smells really fruity, you can really taste the strawberry flavours.
I love fresh apple juice but fizzy apple juice has never really done it for me, until now! This Newtons Appl Fizzics is £1.20 per bottle, so its not cheap, but it is really really nice. I loved it, whats not to love its jsut like fizzy apple juice!
Now I'm not a fan of microwave meals and this months box had 3 options inside, I just think you cant beat home cooked! We got 2 Tasty Little Numbers ready meals in Chicken Tikka Masala and Sausage with beans, they retail at £3.49. They didn't taste nice at all and for the price I wouldn't buy them again.
This month our DB Discoveries item was some Quinola Mothergrain Mediterranean Quinoa priced at £1.99. These are ready meals aimed at children ages 3+, made with Quinoa which offers slow release carbs and protein your children will thrive and its gluten free.
I am a bit of a snacker and I am always looking for new snacks these Say Yes To No priced at £1.49 per bag. They have no artificial flavourings or colourings, they are simply toasted bread chips and the sour cream and onion ones we got are delicious.
Now the last item definitely isn't for my family as we hate peas and no matter what flavour you make them you still will not catch us eating them!! Taking The Pea retail at £1.50 per bag and are a range of flavoured peas, perfect for snacking on the go, they come foil packed and available in 4 different flavours.

I found this months box a bit hit and miss, but that's why I love these boxes, I would never have picked up the items I don't like to even try. So the fact they came in a box means I had the opportunity to try them. If you want to try Degustabox you can get £3 off your first box by using code TTIMB at the checkout.
Thanks For Reading

We had an amazing #Ravensburger Twitter Party

If you were over on twitter today you may have seen the #RavensburgerPuzzles twitter party trending. I joined in along with lots of other bloggers and we got to take part in lots of fun activities.
The first activity was all about puzzles for little ones and Mr C really loves these puzzles, he tried the Alphablocks giant floor puzzle and competed it really easily. He also had a go at the Thomas the Tank engine puzzle but he found that one a bit tricky as it had a few more pieces. We all loved the down on the farm puzzle and the children all loved making animal noises!
We then got to have a race it was Minions vs Frozen and the boys had to race to see who could complete their puzzle first. Mr D had the 3d minion puzzle and it was very tricky! He didnt manage to finish it but he was racing Mr C who didn't finish either so we called it a draw!
We took a break and let our brains rest from all the puzzling fun! We had a drink and some snacks and colorued in some Shopkins posters. The children loved getting arty and colouring in the posters in bright Shopkins colours.
We carried on with the creative theme and made our own jigsaw puzzles using Inside Out post cards. The children loved coluring them in and cutting out the jigsaw shapes. It helped them understand how a jigsaw is made and how easy it to make a puzzle out of anything you like.
It was nearly home time but we had time for one last activity and who doesn't like a game of pass the parcel! There was even a little prize in every single layer so everyone as a winner! I think Miss S loved her prize she is Shopkins mad at the moment.
Our guests all then left and got to take one of these amazing goodie bags with them. They even got to choose their own Ravensburger puzzle as well! We had a fab party and loved seeing all the happy winners over on twitter.

Raising Awareness with St John Ambulance #thechokeables‏

One of my worst nightmares as a parent is choking! Luckily for me it never happened for nay of my children. But in all honestly I don't know what I would do if it ever did happen, probably panic! Would you know what to do?
St John Ambulance, believe that everyone should have the skills and confidence to know what to do in an emergency. Knowing basic first aid can be the difference between life and death – and every week they hear of new people whose lives have been saved because someone nearby knew what to do.
40% of parents asked by SJA have witnessed their own baby choke and when almost four-fifths don’t know what to do in this situation so they have made a short memorable video, The Chokeables – featuring the voices of David Walliams, David Mitchell, Johnny Vegas and Sir John Hurt – that shows people how to help a choking baby.
In The Chokeables, a video launched earlier this year, the celebrities take on the characters of animated objects that could potentially choke babies: a small princess toy, a pen lid, a jelly baby and a peanut. They've joined together because they've had enough and want to show how easy it is to save a choking baby's life.
In just 40 seconds you can learn how to give first aid to a choking baby.
Watching the video its astounding the things that can choke a little one, The video is great and after watching it I feel that I am more informed of what to do should it ever happen.
St Johns Ambulance have also offered a chance for one of my readers to win a fab compact first aid kit, a must have when travelling with children. It contains  everything you may need from plasters to a splinter remover.

Slimming World Week Three Weigh In

Last week I set myself a goal of 1 and a half pounds to enable me to get my half stone badge. I had all my meals planned and was 100% adamant I was staying on plan for the week. All my meals were on plan but I did over syn a few times. I even managed to eat out this week, my main was on plan but I had a sneaky pudding, its was 50% fruit based though!
I was honestly only hoping for 2lbs loss at the most due to my over syning. I always say to myself that any weight loss is better than a weight gain. This is going to be my mantra, even if its a 1lb I have promised myself I will never say only a pound!

So on to weigh in, there was a little bit for a que for the scale, its always the bit I hate as it gives me time to doubt myself and over think my week. But anyway I had a good loss this week.
    I Lost 5lbs!!
So I got my half stone certificate and also bagged myself Slimmer of The Week
I have set myself a target of 2lbs for next week, ideally I would love 3 and half pound so I get my stone certificate but I don't want to put to much pressure on myself. I have my Weekly Meal Plan prepared and I'm ready to take on the week.
I also invested in a Fitbit on Wednesday, I had a little win at bingo on Tuesday night so treated myself. I got the Fitbit Charge HR and honestly I love it, it makes me motivated to move.
Last Weeks Goal - 1 and half lb
Weight Loss This Week - 5lb
Total Weight Loss - 10 and half lb

    #BackToSchool With ShoeZone

I love ShoeZone and have worked with them several time before, so naturally when it comes to back to school shoes they are my 1st port of call. The have a range of shoes for all ages ranging from summer sandals, slippers and winter boots.
I was sent 2 pairs from the range for my back to school feature, I was able to go online and choose a pair for Mr D and a pair for Miss S from the back to school collection.
For Mr D I chose the Demo Max Boys Black Velcro Shoe priced at £12.99. These boys black smart school shoes come with stitch and panel detailing, a Velcro strap fastening for easy fitting, padded collar and a breathable mesh inside lining on a durable grip sole. He will look super smart in these paired with his school uniform. They are available in size 8 all the way up to size 6 so a large range. They fasten with Velcro which is great for Mr D as he finds laces tricky, Mr D is a size 12 and that was the size shoe I ordered. When the shoe arrived I couldn't get his foot inside, he has other size 12 from ShoeZone that fit fine, so in  my opinion these are a smaller fit. Mr D said they are really comfortable to wear and that they will look smart with his uniform.
For Miss S I chose the Walkright Girl Black Shoes priced at £9.99. For a smart look for both in or out of school, why not try our girls black shoes with a Velcro strap fastening, a funky black bow to the front and some unique punched out detailing down the sides. These look super cute paired with frilly ankle socks. They are available in size 6 up to size 3 so a pretty decent size range and good that they start in a small 6, I remember when Miss S was a 6 it was so hard find pretty school shoes. The detailing on the shoe is really cute and I love the pretty little bow on the front. Miss S is a size 12 and the size 12 fitted her perfectly. The touch Velcro fastening is perfect for Miss S as it means she can take her shoes on and off by herself at school. They seem to be comfortable and they have a really chunky sole on which should be hard wearing.

As a frequent ShoeZone shopper I thoroughly recommend there products, they don't cost the earth and they last a while to. Make sure you check out the website above for all you school shoe needs and bags.
